In the spring of 2016 and 2017, Carmela and Julia Antonella Caravaggio represented The Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada during the Hudson Bay’s Giving Day at Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
Hudson Bay’s Giving Day supports local charities across Canada to help raise funds and awareness for organizations within towns and cities.
At Giving Day 2016, Mark J. Stewart, a Toronto based lawyer, part-time professor at Seneca College, and an osteosarcoma survivor, volunteered his time as a speaker and inspired everyone with his story.
In 2016, Anna Maria Tropea’s team of amazing and wonderful helpers had the highest number of ticket sales and consequently $10,000.00 went directly to Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada. In 2017, almost $4,000.00 worth of tickets were sold for Giving Day for a combined total of $14,000.00 for both years going directly to the foundation!! The efforts of everyone involved are greatly appreciated and admired and for those who purchased the tickets, thank you for making a difference. The funds raised supported Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada.
